Oktoberfest 2007…………… bringing back by popular demand the Murztaler Musikanten from Austria, one of Europe’s leading show bands, their repertoire ranges from original German folk music to jazz to a big band sound. The Murztaler Musikanten is the original band that entertained so many of us at the German Beer Garden in New Orleans at the 1984 New Orleans World’s Fair. They performed everyday for six months in the German Beer Garden………making it the most popular venue at the World’s Fair. We will also feature Alpine Express, America’s Premier Oktoberfest Entertainment Band…………it’s tradition with a twist. Cavanagh formed Alpine Express in 1994 after performing for five years at the German Biergarten Show at Disney’s Epcot Center in Orlando. One of Epcot’s premier performers -Terry Cavanagh along with his Alpine Express band bring a diverse and upbeat show with traditional and modern German folk music as well as American dance favorites.
